Camels and Hats

I'm not sure if folks outside Canada will get this, but around here there's a moving company around here called "Two Small Men with Big Hearts".

Hey, Grahaeme, if you have that drawing I did of the Camel Limo you should post that aswell. It sort of fits this theme.

I think it's time for a new topic. How about: Hats in Inappropriate situations?

if moving trucks were replaced by camels

First there's this: ( because somebody had to do it, and somebody had to do something :)

then there is this:
I'm not quite sure what the camel is carrying either.

Additionally-- I say that we open the topic up to being any animal carrying a whole-lot of something.
hope things are well!

Camels.

Temple of the Golden Camels' name inspired me. If no one else suggests anything soon for the art jam, then I wish to suggest 'If we used camels instead of moving vans'.

great website and new topic question

Hey everyone! Hope everyone's vacations/traveling are going well.
I thought you all might be interested in the Temple of the Seven Golden Camels-- he just posted a nice article about the 180 rule which is worth checking out along with a lot of the other film-making stuff on the site.

Also, what do you think would be the best way to start new topics for the drawing-jam? I propose that anyone can start a new topic, but the new topic must be started with a drawing and should give the previous topic at least 2 weeks to run its course. I'd think that submitting drawings for previous topics would be okay, too, if anyone is running a bit late.
Agree? changes/additions?

anyways, hope things are well!

bill plympton talks

A summary of Plympton's speech at the Worldwide Short Film Festival

a brief excerpt:
Here’s my idea of the perfect animated film….BAMBI MEETS GODZILLA. (a film by Marv Newland.) This film took one weekend to make. It has only 12 drawings and is one and a half minutes long. To date it has earned $100,000.00. It’s the DEEP THROAT of animation.
Along with praise, there's a lot of good info in there also.

Jobs jobs jobs!

Hi everybody!

Here are some useful links.

AIDB -This website has tons of information. You can use it to find animation studios around the world and the jobs they usually offer. I recommend either searching by animation specialty or location. They also list schools in case you want to be an animation teacher.

Studios in Canada

Studios in BC

JOB OFFERS - This site provides information about the jobs that are currently available in the animation industry around the world. I don't know how often the information is updated though.

Good luck!

a drawing topic

The inaugural topic is... ... animals shopping
Sketches, drawings, paintings, sculpture, dance, monologue, etc all acceptable.

I tried to make it so everyone in CA71 can post here, but I may have messed up on a few of the emails-- if you aren't able to log in at the moment, just talk to me ( Ross ) and we'll get it working.

anyways, animals shopping
